DNLC IS FOUNDED
Based on the latest scientific and clinical research, the applications of photobiomodulation therapy using low-level laser therapy are vast. Due to its cellular targets, it assists in the modulation of inflammation, thereby providing relief of pain. There has been a recent focus on its ability to modulate neuroinflammation, and profound results have been found in the treatment of neurological conditions.

MEET DR ASHLEIGH BHANJAN
Specialist Integrative Neurologist · Clinic Director
Dr Ashleigh Bhanjan is a Specialist Integrative Neurologist and Director of Durban Neuro Laser Clinic. He has worked in private neurological practice at Life Entabeni Hospital since 2009 and at Busamed Gateway Private Hospital since 2023.
He qualified as a doctor at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2002 and completed his postgraduate training in Neurology in KwaZulu-Natal in 2008. His clinical interests include chronic pain, stroke rehabilitation and neurodegenerative health, with a particular focus on carefully assessed, non-invasive light-based approaches.
As a BioFlex Laser Therapy Certified Practitioner and member of PainSA, Dr Bhanjan combines specialist neurological assessment with clinically guided photobiomodulation and individualised treatment planning. These details are based on his published DNLC professional profile.
